- What is a Bail Bond?
A bail bond is a form of bail which is referred to as a Surety Bond for the return of a person to court. A bail bond company such as ours, Power House Bail Bonds is a company that provides the service of bailing people out of jail for a fee and a signed guarantee from a cosigner that promises our company to make sure that the defendant appears to all their court dates until all bonds and premiums are satisfied.
- If I have a warrant do I have to turn myself in and then get bailed out?
No. Just give us a call and we can arrange to post bond on your warrant and get you a court date without you having to be arrested.
- How much does a bail bond cost?
Bail bond premium is set and regulated by the California Depatment of Insurance at 10% of the bail amount. ( Example Bail at $10,000 , premium will be $1,000 )In cases where the defendant is referred by an Attorney or he/she is a union member then we are allowed to charge 8%. (Example Bail at $10,000 Premium $800). We do offer Payment Plan and low down payments if you are unable to pay the premium in full. Call us and we will find a plan that will fit your needs!
- Is the bail premium refundable?
No. the bail premium is fully earned upon the posting of the bond for the defendant. If the case is dismissed, charges not filed, the person was only detained, or falsely arrested the bail premium is still NON-REFUNDABLE.

- Are the Payment Plans Interest Free?
Yes they are 100% interest free!
- If I bail someone out and I am making payments and the person I bailed out has finished their case , do I still have to make payments?
Yes you do as the premium is fully earned upon the release of the defendant and the payment plans were offered to you as a courtesy and as an extension of credit.
- How fast can I bail my loved one out?
It depends on if they are in a city jail or a county jail:
* Our paperwork only takes about 15 minutes*
- City jails or local Police stations are much faster and their release times average between 30-60 minutes after the bond is posted depending on the jail.
- County jails take much longer since they are bigger facilities that house hundreds of inmates. Orange County average release time : 3 - 6 Hrs., LA County; 6- 12 Hrs.
